"I CAN FLY TOO" TRAVELS TO BULGARIA

Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality City Theatres' puppet play "I Can Fly Too," which premiered last season and was met with great acclaim, is traveling to Bulgaria as part of the 12th International Open Air Puppet Days Festival in Burgas, Bulgaria.

The 12th International Open Air Puppet Days, organized by the Burgas State Puppet Theatre with the support of the Burgas Municipality, will take place from August 10-15, 2025. As part of the event, Eskişehir City Theatres' play "I Can Fly Too" will premiere on August 11.

Representing Türkiye, Eskişehir City Theatres will be participating in the festival. In addition to prominent Bulgarian puppet theaters, puppet groups from Germany, Brazil, and the Czech Republic will also be invited to perform. In addition to plays, the festival will also feature puppet exhibitions and special programs throughout the five days.

"I Can Fly Too," written and directed by Eskişehir City Theatre artist Berkay Akın, portrays the magic of dreaming and the importance of friendship and cooperation in achieving these dreams, in a playful way, accompanied by charming puppets. City Theatre artists Çiğdem Altuğ, Bilge Büyükerşen, and Nagihan Orhan star in the play.
