Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality continues its dry landscaping program on median strips and intersections to combat water scarcity caused by global warming and climate change. With the warming of the weather, landscaping crews have begun intensive work and have completed dry landscaping in the area next to the Haller Youth Center.
The Metropolitan Municipality Parks and Gardens Department is implementing dry landscaping projects, designed with a sustainable urban design approach and prioritizing efficient water use, on boulevards, street median strips, and intersections.
Most recently, the crews combined savings and aesthetics with a dry landscaping project next to the Haller Youth Center. In the dry landscaping, a small amount of plant material is used through drip irrigation, while decorative materials such as slag and dolomite stone are used to create motifs. This not only saves water but also enhances the city's aesthetic appeal.
The dry landscaping work carried out by Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality in line with its environmental awareness and sustainability goals continues to contribute both economically and ecologically to the city.
