MAGNIFICENT OPENING FROM ESKİŞEHİR FESTIVAL

The 16th International Eskişehir Children, Youth and Puppet Theaters Festival started with a march held in the city center on Saturday.

The opening of the festival organized by Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality City Theaters started with a magnificent procession march from Köprübaşı Area to the festival area behind Haller Youth Center at 17:00 on Saturday, May 24.

The opening day, which attracted great interest from Eskişehir residents, saw the audience meet the audience in the open air in the festival area after the march with the joint production of Yifan’s Company and Théâtre National de Nîmes from France, “Kanatlarım” and the play “Circus” by puppeteer Jordi Bertran, who participated in the festival from Spain. In the evening session, the play Animal Farm by Eskişehir City Theaters Youth Stage 9th Term trainees performed its first performance and met with the audience.

On the second day of the festival, the play “Joyful Truth” by the Puck Puppet Theater from Romania and the play “Pompenya” by the Eskişehir City Theaters met with children. In the festival area behind the Haller Youth Center, the show by the Eskişehir IKGV African Children's Dance Group, which is part of the Eskişehir Branch of the Human Resource Development Foundation, attracted great attention from the people of Eskişehir.

The second day of the festival ended in the evening with the plays staged again by the French and Spanish groups. The festival, which will last until May 28, will continue with a full program of plays and different workshops.
