Head of the Delegation of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe and Mayor of Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Ayşe Ünlüce went to Strasbourg, France to attend the 48th General Assembly of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of Europe.
The congress, which is held twice a year, discussed various topics such as violence against women in politics, local and regional democracy worldwide, sound financial management, water resources, and the role of local administrators in protecting the environment.
In addition, the removal of mayors from office in Türkiye and solutions to homelessness in towns and cities will be discussed in the Council's sessions that will continue tomorrow.
