GOLDEN HORN BRASS IN ESKISEHIR

Jazz and Chamber Music Concerts organized by Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality and held at the Palace of Culture and Arts (Opera) continue to meet art lovers.

The Golden Horn Brass “Copper Echoes from Around the World” concert organized as part of the Jazz and Chamber Music Concerts attracted great interest from the audience.

Golden Horn Brass, which was selected as the “Chamber Music Ensemble of the Year” at the Andante Donizetti Classical Music Awards in 2024, was founded in 2004 by Begüm Soydan. The ensemble, which started its musical journey with the aim of making brass instruments more widespread and became Türkiye first brass quintet, has won great acclaim with their concerts in Türkiye and continues to represent our country successfully abroad.

The group, consisting of experienced artists Julian Rupu (trumpet), Renato Lupu (trumpet), Begüm Soydan (horn), Emre Berbergil (trombone) and Sinan Şirin (tuba), received great acclaim with their performances and the pieces they chose from both the world and our country.

In the concert, the esteemed music group included works by important composers such as Giuseppe Verdi, Georges Bizet, Grigoraş Dinicu, as well as the works of important artists of our country such as Aşık Veysel, Özdemir Erdoğan and anonymous folk songs. The brass arrangements of the pieces they chose and the band's strong performance were highly appreciated, and it was noteworthy that they successfully reflected the east-west synthesis in their music. At the end of the concert, the Golden Horn Brass Wind Quintet mingled with the audience and received a long standing ovation. Begüm Soydan, the founder of the group, stated that the concerts they gave in Eskişehir and all the art lovers who filled the hall were very valuable and motivated the musicians. After the plaque presentation, the curtains closed until the next concert.

Art lovers are eagerly awaiting the Republic Day Concert, which will take place on Friday, October 25 at 20.00 at Atatürk Culture, Arts and Congress Center.
